I am most proud of my 10 years of military service. The lessons, values, and experiences I learned through the military have made me the person I am today. Serving a year in the middles east, away from friends and family showed me how to place value on things that we take for granted. Meeting new and diverse groups of people taught me how to be patient and tolerant of all walks of life.

Spending my entire career in the nonprofit sector has been so influential for me, and I would say my biggest achievement has been helping to connect philanthropy-minded individuals to the causes they care most about, whether locally or across Wyoming. Although this is part of my job, I take great pride and joy out of helping others achieve their philanthropic goals.

Hands down - my family. I was able to attend my oldest daughter's open house last week and on the first day of school they created a newspaper to share with others a little bit about themselves. My daughter listed me as her hero - which of course is sweet - but the reason being was that because I went and got my Master's degree and that I am a boss of an agency that helps kids.

I would have to claim my Doctorate of Physical Therapy and passing the national boards as being my proud personal accomplishment. This was a lengthy 7 year commitment, but a worthwhile decision nonetheless. It has provided me with not only financial stability, but has given me the opportunity to help others on a day to day basis and become more engrained in the Laramie community.

I often am not and advocate of mixing my professional life and personal life, but it is often a welcome side effect in my line of work. Along that line, the relationships I have developed are by far my greatest accomplishment. I have always thought, the more I knew a person, the more qualified I was to identify their needs, their families needs, and it was my personal responsibility.
