What personal accomplishment are you most proud of?

Attaining an executive director position by age 27 was a very proud accomplishment for me.

What is your primary personal development goal/business goal for the next 5 years?

My personal development goal is to graduate with my MBA, continue to bring value and recognition to my organization through the grass roots work we do, and to improve my fundraising and leadership skills to prepare me for more responsibility within my field.

What is your biggest philanthropic achievement?

Spending my entire career in the nonprofit sector has been so influential for me, and I would say my biggest achievement has been helping to connect philanthropy-minded individuals to the causes they care most about, whether locally or across Wyoming. Although this is part of my job, I take great pride and joy out of helping others achieve their philanthropic goals.

What action or event that you've been a part of, that you believe has made the biggest difference in Laramie? Or are you most proud of?

I am passionate about creating opportunities for women and girls, and creating awareness around barriers to success for this group. Through my work and personal endeavors, I am most proud of opportunities I have had to mentor a couple young women. I feel so fortunate to have always had strong women in my life for both personal and career paths, and feel so grateful for opportunities to pass any advice and counsel on if I am able.

What excites you most about the future of Laramie?

I believe Laramie is about to 'arrive'! There's much excitement about the community's growth opportunities economically, which boosts community happiness indicators, and also quality of life. I'm thrilled about the beautification projects taking place, and a sense of pride Laramie residents feel towards our town. I can't wait to see it unfold, and hope I can help somehow.

What do you think has helped make you successful in your endeavors?

I think being genuine with people, and authentic in your efforts to help or complete work. Additionally, the amazing networks I've built across Wyoming have allowed me wonderful opportunities to grow and advance in my career and my personal life.

What advice would you give to other young professionals in Laramie?

I would encourage other young professionals to remember that we are the future of our communities and organizations. Fresh ideas and opportunities to make Laramie the best place to be are made possible by forward-thinking individuals. If there's something missing or that needs improving in our community, you have the power to change it, and that's an incredibly valuable resource to young professionals and community members alike!
