Quality IV Care

What personal accomplishment are you most proud of?

The accomplishment I am most proud of is my Doctor of Pharmacy degree and ownership of Quality IV Care, a home infusion and compounding pharmacy. I am able to provide my patients with compassion and exceptional care during very difficult stages of their lives. Advocating for my patients so they receive the best overall care is my primary goal as a pharmacist.

What is your primary personal development goal/business goal for the next 5 years?

My primary business goal over the next 5 years is to expand compounding services available to the Laramie community. I plan to partner with and increase my involvement in Climb Wyoming, Wyoming at Work, and the University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy to empower others and provide opportunities to those who are passionate about personalized, compassionate healthcare.

What is your biggest philanthropic achievement?

Supporting Laramie's non-profit community in numerous capacities is very important to me. However, I can't say I have one philanthropic achievement that takes precedence over others. As a successful business owner, I take a lot of pride in making sure the care of my patients always comes first, regardless of personal or financial constraints. Insurance companies, costs of medical care, and access to healthcare are major barriers to many people receiving the care they need. Fortunately, I am in a position to help overcome many of the obstacles patients face without the primary focus being the bottom-line.

What action or event that you’ve been a part of do you believe has made the biggest difference in Laramie? Or, which action or event are you most proud of?

Laramie has seen tremendous growth and change in the healthcare industry over the last few years. These changes have allowed myself and other healthcare professionals to offer our patients a higher level of care. It is an honor to work alongside so many incredible healthcare professionals, partnering together to provide the best overall care for our patients. I am proud of the dedication every healthcare professional has to the betterment of this community.

What excites you most about the future of Laramie?

The entrepreneurial drive of young professionals in this community is overwhelming to me! It is exciting to see independent businesses continue to thrive and new businesses make Laramie their home. Our supportive community is what makes small independent businesses continue to grow and i'm excited to see where that support will expand in the future.

What do you think has helped make you successful in your endeavors?

I owe so much of my success to the leadership, guidance and support of my father. It was through his examples that I was able to become the pharmacist and business owner I am today. I am proud that I have been able to seamlessly step in and continue to serve a community he poured so much of himself in to for so many years. The unconditional support of my husband and two young boys is the only reason I continue to be able to work in this capacity and be a wife and mother. I am so fortunate and grateful my family has embraced the meaning of "family business" and supports the passion I put in to my work. I am also blessed with incredible employees. Their support and dedication allows me to focus primarily on the care of our patients.

What advice would you give to other young professionals in Laramie?

Discover what you are passionate about, then put in the hard work and determination to see it through. Nothing is easy all of the time, but the trials make the victories that much more special. Surround yourself with support and provide that same support to others. Mostly importantly, always be respectful and look for ways to care for others...your true identity is reflected in how you treat others.
