What personal accomplishment are you most proud of?

Becoming our family's fourth generation insurance professional is something I am very proud of. I have reached a level of fulfillment and service that I didn't know existed - especially in the insurance industry. Hospitality is a passion of mine, and being able to incorporate those skills into the way I do business is a great trick of the trade.

What is your primary personal development goal/business goal for the next 5 years?

I have an ongoing goal for myself: to always stay hungry. My personal goal intertwines with my professional goal, and that is simply to grow. I have a vision of taking our family business to the peak of its potential, and then going even further every year. We are efficiently integrating changes in our office to better serve our customers, which include continuing education for our agents. Changes to life as we know it is inevitable, and I make it a priority to learn and apply something new each day. Aiming to grow in every branch of your life is a sure way to achieve both sets of goals.

What is your biggest philanthropic achievement?

I am involved in organizations that focus on bettering Albany county. Some that are dear to my heart include Laramie's Ducks Unlimited and the Laramie Soup Kitchen. I also enjoy serving on the Wyoming Young Agents committee and have recently joined the board of directors for Laramie Jubilee Days.

What action or event that you’ve been a part of do you believe has made the biggest difference in Laramie? Or, which action or event are you most proud of?

While this is still a new endeavor for me, I was given a great opportunity to serve on the board of directors for Laramie Jubilee Days as the marketing chair.  I am already proud of the work we have accomplished to make the Statehood Celebration a true representation of what makes our town and state so special. I appreciate the balance of volunteers that truly bring something different to the idea round table. After all, that's what makes a town like Laramie so great - the melting pot of our perspectives and ideas.

What excites you most about the future of Laramie?

The future of Laramie is in the hands of every member in our community. With our ideas & plans for growth, I can't help but believe we are all excited for our success as a whole. We have generations of all ages that are eager to build their legacies and leave Laramie a better place than it was before. The future entrepreneurs are all fearlessly ready to pursue their visions while keeping the roots of Laramie alive and present.

What do you think has helped make you successful in your endeavors?

All credit is due to the people in my life. I have a family that roots for me constantly, with my husband as the team captain. My dad (who is also my boss) gets bonus points for supporting me professionally and personally, sometimes with a mixture of both in one day. I made a choice to surround myself with positive, driven and inspiring people who support me, and vice versa. My friends and family play the biggest role in my success; I am very, very lucky.

What advice would you give to other young professionals in Laramie?

The formula for failure is seeking acceptance from everyone else. Your dreams and ideas are valid, so believe in yourself or no one else will.
